Data & privacy

What this preview stores and your optional insight settings.

Trading records

Steam sign-in identifies your account. Trading uses your public inventory and saved Steam trade URL. Quotes, requests, reservations and verified trades are stored so we can complete trades, recover from interruptions and show your history. Trade-link tokens and sign-in credentials are not part of shop insights.

Optional shop insights

When enabled, the shop owner can see your Steam ID and public display name, first and last activity, stages such as inventory loading and checkout, and dated copies of the public TF2 inventory you load here. This helps us understand which parts of the shop work and which items visitors have, what percentage can be used as payment or currently priced items, and which unsupported items could merit future coverage. These observations are private to the shop owner.

Inventory is observed during your visits, not monitored in the background. We keep up to seven daily inventory observations for 30 days, activity for 90 days, and profiles until one year of inactivity. Expired records are removed at the next hourly cleanup while the service runs, or on the next report. Owner/test traffic is excluded.

Optional insights are currently on unless you turn them off below. We do not use analytics cookies, fingerprinting, saved IP addresses, session recordings or third-party analytics scripts. Signed-out visitors are not included.

Turning insights off removes these optional records from the live database and saves your choice against your Steam ID. It does not remove completed trades, pending requests, account security records or copies already in private backups. Deleted records in backups must not be restored without reapplying the latest preferences.

Browser preferences

Your browser keeps basket drafts, favorites and display settings. Necessary sign-in cookies keep your session secure. These are separate from optional insights.

This preview data explanation is not the final launch policy. Operator contact details, backup retention and the full account export/deletion process must be finalized before public launch.
